SCO Introduction: The Supply Chain Management organization takes Cisco innovation from the drawing board to the customer. Whether it's complex, high-end, configure-to-order products or high-volume commercial goods, we turn ideas into solutions. As part of the Operations, Processes, and Systems team, we are a global organization with employees in more than 50 locations worldwide. We focus on effectively simplifying our supply chain, improving the new product introduction process, successfully managing our contract manufacturers, working with suppliers to find the best quality components at competitive prices, and creating inventive ways to recover value from returns - all while striving to positively impact Cisco's revenue. This team has raised the bar for supply chain excellence, but now a new and even more challenging era has begun. We must continue to maintain delivery, improve quality and accelerate supply chain velocity, even as Cisco expands into new technologies, and geographies. It's an exciting time to be part of this team as we optimize the supply chain across multiple dimensions and stay ahead of the increasing complexity and changing marketplace. Program Introduction: 1 Interns in the SCO Organization will spend 10-15 weeks working on projects which add significant value to Cisco Systems, Inc. 2 The SCO internship program is designed for the participant to gain: Experience: SCO interns will be placed into a role based on their area of interest and the business need and will participate in a group case competition. Exposure: Interns will work and interact with senior leadership, managers, cross-functional teams, and other SCO interns. Responsibilities: The responsibilities of a Program Manager vary by the function and project that you are working on- below are some of the responsibilities that you could be accountable for: 1 Define and Validate Project Scope (e.g. define vision, structure, and identify priorities) 2 Drive and Manage Project Execution 3 Perform detail cost analysis 4 Create Project Plans and Schedules 5 Manage Stakeholder Relationships 6 Influences others to make decisions and take actions aimed at achieving common objectives 7 Recognize and resolve conflict 8 Managing multiple complex programs or projects and understands how they are interdependent and what that means to the business 9 Facilitating cross-functional and/or global teams Requirements: The Program Manager role at Cisco is extremely dynamic and fast paced. We are looking for the kind of team members that have the following skill sets: 1 Demonstrates leadership qualities including: a sense of vision, ability to motivate and inspire others, solve problems, meet deadlines 2 Excellent presentation and communication skills including written, verbal, and listening skills 3 Overall knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain 4 Ability to develop solutions to complex problems which require creativity 5 Self starter, self motivated: Ability to thrive in a remote setting (immediate team, direct line manager and dotted line managers can be located in different countries/time zones) 6 Skilled in influencing, persuasion, and negotiation. Demonstrates ability to influence teams to achieve shared vision and drive accountability 7 Ability to thrive in cross-functional environment 8 Ability to work well with a variety of people from different functions and cultures and in a virtual team setting, as well as having the flexibility to take on different roles/responsibilities as projects evolve and change 9 Ability to drive initiatives from start to end, on time, within budget and expectations Educational Background: 1 2013 graduates 2 Desired Degree’s is: Graduate, Program Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Economic, Math or Computer Science, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
